Catching up...

It has been such a long time since I've considered writing on this blog. It probably has to do with the busyness of ministry and what that does to my personal journey. Sometimes it is hard to separate the public demands on my time from the private need for reflection and rest.
This morning for example, I normally take about an hour for reading the Bible, prayer , and contemplation. It so happened that our Taber E Free church mission team was leaving for Vincento Guerreo in the Baja California area of Mexico. The team was scheduled to depart at 7am. Yet the delay in departure siphoned away time normally spent for personal preparation. That's OK. yet I felt undone for the remainder of the morning. I definitely must be a person of routine. I sense that I need to complete this day by doing some reflection on a Bible truth. I may read a chapter in "King's Cross" by Timothy Keller (2011) which highlights the story of the World in the Life of Jesus. Great preparation for the passion week celebrations.
